Laslea villager

Atanas

Atanas is an older resident of Laslea and Vasil's father. He expects respect for his age, drinks heavily and tries to discipline his son through repeated reprimands. His strained relationship with Vasil is part of the village's everyday tensions.

My journey

Confront Atanas during Someone Needs a Lesson

Atanas is Vasil’s father in Laslea. He intervenes after Coen catches Vasil during Someone Needs a Lesson, then asks Coen to punish his son. You can refuse and stand up to Atanas instead.

Find Atanas through Vasil’s prologue encounter

While walking through the middle of Laslea in the prologue, Vasil starts picking on Coen. Chase him toward the northeast side of the village and catch him. Talking to Vasil or fighting him brings Atanas into the encounter.

Atanas asks whether his son has been causing trouble. The conversation moves toward a nearby tree, where he tells Vasil to remove his shirt and asks Coen to use a switch on him.

Refuse the beating and challenge Atanas

Choose “I’m not beating him” to refuse. Atanas then offers to do it himself, so refusing the switch alone does not stop him. Continue objecting if you want to protect Vasil.

Choose “You’re drunk, Atanas.” to confront him and take the fight yourself. The quest changes to Defeat Atanas. Defend yourself and win the encounter to stop his attack.

Agreeing to punish Vasil follows the beating branch. Letting Atanas do as he wishes leaves the punishment to him. Choose your response before advancing the confrontation.

Speak with Vasil afterward

After the confrontation, meet Vasil again and finish the conversation. He explains the difficulties he and his father are facing, closing Someone Needs a Lesson.
