A personal crisis inside a captured valley
The Blood of Dawnwalker follows Coen, a young man whose life changes when he is transformed into a Dawnwalker. His new nature gives him a way to resist the vampire power controlling Vale Sangora, but it also places him between the human communities he wants to protect and the supernatural world he now partially belongs to.
The story combines a family rescue with a wider struggle for the valley. War and the Black Death have already weakened human society; Brencis's rule turns that weakness into a new political order. Coen's decisions determine which people receive his help and which threats are allowed to grow.
Coen is caught between two natures
Human connections
Coen's family and the people he knew before the transformation keep the story grounded in ordinary human stakes. Protecting them is not separate from the larger conflict; it is the reason the conflict matters to him.
Vampire power
The vampire side of Coen offers abilities and routes that a normal human could not use. It also changes how he is seen and what kind of future he might accept.
A Dawnwalker identity
The central tension is not a simple switch between good and evil. Coen must decide how much of each nature to use while living with the consequences of both.
30 days to save Coen’s family
After the prologue, Coen has 30 days to rescue his family from Brencis. The limit is expressed through activity costs: each daytime and nighttime phase has eight time segments. A complete cycle has 16 segments, giving the campaign an initial budget of 480.
A quest objective’s displayed cost applies to that step; later decisions can use more time. Some encounters advance time once engaged, and the time bar warns you as you approach. This makes choosing whom to help and when to act part of Coen’s story.
Use the time and shrine guide to read those cues and plan skill learning or a change of phase. For All Good Things, the opening combat controls and Shadowstep, follow the Prologue Walkthrough.
IGN’s time-management guide describes the 30-day limit and 480 segments; the official game website explains how helping some people leaves less time for others.
