Explore skills & progressionA dark alternate 14th century
The game takes place in an alternate 14th-century Europe, where war and the Black Death have weakened the institutions that once protected ordinary people. As human settlements struggle to recover, vampires step out of hiding and begin to claim territory in the open.
Vale Sangora is one of those isolated territories. Brencis has cut the valley off from the outside world after the vrakhiri takeover, leaving its villages to face a new order without outside aid. The setting's mountains, forests, wetlands and ruined settlements are connected as one hand-built open world.
You play as Coen, a young man transformed into a Dawnwalker. His human and vampire natures create two distinct ways to travel, fight and pursue the people threatening his family.
The world is built around tension between shelter and exposure. Villages, roads, ruins and wilderness each offer different risks, while the day-night cycle changes which side of Coen's identity is safest to use. The result is a setting where geography, time and allegiance all matter to a player's route.

The story begins with a personal crisis inside a valley already shaped by war, disease and supernatural rule. Coen's transformation gives him a way to resist the vampires controlling Vale Sangora, but it also forces him to live between two worlds that do not trust each other.
Time is a central story pressure. Coen has a limited window to protect the people he loves and decide which conflicts to pursue; helping one community can mean arriving too late for another. The result is a campaign built around consequences rather than a single checklist of objectives.
The opening sequence is documented separately in our Prologue Walkthrough, which follows All Good Things through its first combat lessons, Shadowstep and the return to the church.
Day, night, time and choices
Human by day, vampire by night
Each form has distinct abilities, advantages and limits. Different approaches can reveal different routes and information.
Quests consume time
Accepting and pursuing tasks advances time. The game explicitly asks you to choose which people and problems deserve Coen's limited days.
A hand-built open world
Forests, plains, swamps, mountains, villages and ruins form a continuous setting designed for exploration rather than procedural generation.
Choices shape the campaign
There is no universal route through every crisis. The people Coen helps, the tasks he leaves behind and the form he chooses can all change what becomes possible next.
