Find the letter and use the cave’s clues
Start the investigation during the day along the trail by Riverside Trail Shrine in Rockfalls, west of Burner’s Clearing. Follow the blood trail, examine the bodies and continue to the opening marked by claw scratches. Defeat the wolves inside.
The letter lies along the back wall of the cave. Collect the herbs on the stump and the stitched clothing in the chest as well, then use Compel Soul on the nearby body to explore the three clues. The same chest contains the Wolven Bracers.
Tsinna says the new forests offer game and shelter, although their young will not grow up in their ancestral lands. Her closing assurance—“The clan survives”—answers what became of the people who left, while the corpse conversation fills in the local events.
