Find the warning and reopen the investigation
During the next daytime period after completing the first part of A Study in Crimson, speak to the medic in central Svartrau. His medicine delivery sends you to a farm south of the city. Several bodies can be examined there, but the one carrying the warning is farther south, with two wolves standing over it.
Kill the wolves and loot the body. Simeon’s message is addressed to Ivo and accuses Vicho of killing Eli and his wife. It also claims that the hunger Vicho once controlled with rats and pigs has grown beyond that arrangement.
Finding this clue reopens A Study in Crimson and leads to The Unquenchable Thirst achievement. Return to Vicho at night to discuss what happened; blaming bandits instead ends the investigation without confronting the evidence. You can report the farm’s fate to the medic during the day.
