Find Chariklea beyond the lantern doors in Howling Keep
Chariklea waits in Howling Keep during The Cycle of Love. Reach her room by progressing through the keep’s lantern-and-statue doors. After returning from the kennels, take the upstairs route and use the lanterns by the final doorway to open the way to her.
Talking with Chariklea leads into Xanthe’s confrontation and boss fight. Prepare before entering the room if you still need to adjust your abilities or supplies. Chariklea’s dependence on Xanthe’s magic explains the scene, but the fight and the later decision about her are separate stages.
After resolving the fight, the route where Xanthe is no longer present lets Coen leave Chariklea alive or end her suffering. The choice concerns Chariklea; decide how to handle Xanthe first.
Before leaving, open the chest in Chariklea’s room for Vrakhir’s Treads. The boots are chest loot, so collect them separately from the conversation and the boss’s remains.
