A well-crafted armour. On the inside, it has a small, crude etching of a black boar which earned it its name.
Offence and health in a heavier chest piece
Its listed bonuses are +3% weapon critical hit chance, +5% magic damage and +10% maximum health. Critical chance affects how often a weapon critical occurs; it is separate from a bonus to critical damage.
Voyager’s Dark Cotehardie is a lighter Epic chest alternative: 50 base armour at 3.7 weight, with dodge stamina cost, blood-drinking power and vampiric health restoration bonuses. Wildboar has 15 more listed armour and weighs 2.6 more, while the bonuses support a different combat pattern.
