How to get Training Sword

Pick up Training Sword inside Coen’s family home during Withering Away. After the breakfast scene, find it across the hall, equip it and use it for the opening quests around Laslea.

You can collect the sword before leaving to find Anca’s medicine for Esme. The house also contains early supplies, including the recipe for Minor Mending Ointment in Coen’s room. Check your inventory and equip the sword before heading outside.

After completing the medicine errand, Like Father, Like Son takes Coen to sword practice with Pieter. Use that encounter to practise directional defence and dodge Pieter’s kick. It is part of the opening family quest sequence in Laslea Glen.

Training Sword has 23–33 base damage, weighs 1.1 and has no weapon art. It provides the opening weapon; the weapon directory lets you compare later finds by damage, weight, effects and weapon art when you are ready to replace it.
