Twelve swords carry the Unique rarity in The Blood of Dawnwalker. For the swords with published map relationships, Vale Sangora files their markers under Legendary Equipment; community lists often call them legendary swords. Every one of them has four listed bonuses on top of its base damage, so the choice is usually about the bonus set rather than raw damage.
The values below are base item values from the reviewed Steam build. Item level changes weapon damage, and character effects apply on top. Open a sword’s page for its full record, or add two or three to the equipment comparison.

The Imbued Sword of St. Mihai has the highest base damage and, with The Kingslayer, the highest weight. Gladius, The Challenger and The Contender are the lightest at 0.9. Six swords have no weapon type in the build data, so their page shows only the damage and bonus record.
Where to find or buy each sword
Check the location, quest stage and merchant access before setting out. Some swords require nighttime traversal or a late story branch. For Erkas’s Sword and The Hand of Fate, follow the full underground route; shop stock can depend on story progress.
Durandal
Find Durandal in the chasm beneath the collapsed bridge west of Briar Sloughs, in Ambrus’s Fiefdom. The Cursed Chasm concerns Knyaz Skender’s lost treasure in this area; Arman’s Letter to Skender calls the gift “the famous Durandal”.
Erkas's Sword
Follow The Champion of Old: inspect the fresco in the ruins beneath Carpenter Row, find the associated key and open the separate ancient shrine. Search its chamber after confronting the guardian to collect the champion’s sword.
Gladius
Find Gladius in Brencis’s former cave home on Mount Balaur, west of Parlita in Boar’s Back. Visit at night and use Shadowstep to reach the rear ledge where blood drips from above. This part of the cave is associated with The Beast of Balaur; the nearby Phial of Brencis’s Blood is a separate pickup.
Imbued Sword of St. Mihai
Complete the tempering encounter after Nareh reforges the blade to obtain Imbued Sword of St. Mihai. Travel to the marked location northwest of Uriashi Hermitage.
The Hand of Fate
Open the stone chest in the kobold cave beneath Florin’s ruins. First collect the Stone Key from the hidden cellar behind the cathedral treasury bookcase.
The Kingslayer
Look for The Kingslayer among the soldiers’ loot during Forge It Anew: Executive Order near Tantari. The Silver Trader in Svartrau can also offer it in his equipment selection.
The Purge
The Silver Trader in Svartrau’s Neustadt district can sell The Purge. Visit during the day and check his current equipment selection.
The Challenger
The Challenger is sold by the quartermaster at the southeastern gate into Vale Sangora, south of Tantari Woods, during the Manumit ending after the point of no return. Plan around that late access: it is not an early-game purchase despite its daytime Witchcraft bonuses.
The Contender
Buy The Contender from the sword blacksmith in Tantari, the village southeast of Svartrau on the eastern side of Xanthe’s Fiefdom. Check the merchant’s current stock. Its charge restoration, attack stamina cost and Swordmastery cooldown effects support sword ability use during both day and night.
The Prizewinner
The Prizewinner appears in Nareh’s possible shop stock. Nareh is the uriash blacksmith who lives in an isolated mountain home; stock depends on story progress and the shop’s selection. Its description names it the winning blade of the valley’s swordsmithing contest, made by the blacksmith from Parlita.
The Runner-Up
Buy The Runner-Up from the sword blacksmith north of the Cathedral Complex in Svartrau. Check the current shop selection and price when you visit. Its weapon critical and perfect-block bonuses support sword combat in either form; they do not turn it into a claw-damage weapon.
The Vrakhir
Find The Vrakhir on a blood-covered corpse in Kallias’s crypt in the bog during Lacra’s quest The Night of Horrors. Search the corpse while exploring the crypt. Its bonuses favour vampire form, including blood per segment, vampiric ability Health cost and cooldown.
Choose a sword by its bonuses
Each bonus below appears with the same value on every sword that lists it, so the table works as an index: find the effect you want, then compare the swords that carry it.
Two swords lean towards vampire form: The Vrakhir and Gladius both raise blood gained per segment and damage against Untouched enemies. The Hand of Fate and The Challenger carry the Witchcraft bonuses. The Kingslayer and The Runner-Up widen the parry window. Plan the matching skills in the build planner.
