Coen’s father and first sword teacher
Pieter is Coen’s father and taught him sword fighting. Before Coen became ill, they worked together in the silver mine. He carries a Weathered Longsword.
Pieter’s family pages add context to the household around him. Alin’s death left lasting grief for Esme and Coen, while Mirto’s anger is described alongside the family’s losses and tension with Pieter. These relationships explain why Pieter’s role reaches beyond Coen’s combat training.
Volk says Pieter was an old friend who secretly helped him settle in Vale Sangora and supported him after he lost his sight. Treat that as Volk’s account: Pieter rarely discusses the mercenary past other people attribute to him.
