How to learn Life Lock
Life Lock has a story reward that both unlocks the ability and grants rank 1, separate from learning it through a manual. Its story connection runs through Silas’s book and Who Pulls the Strings. Check your ability screen before budgeting for the first rank.
Mevasser’s Life Lock Manual offer is tied to progress with Silas’s book. The manual can be absent earlier in that story line.
The following manual supplies the book unlock for ranks marked “Manual unlock” in the rank table. Skill points and time are spent when you purchase the rank. See the skill book guide for manual requirements and planning examples.
Block damage and reflect it back
Life Lock is an activated Witchcraft ability that blocks a limited number of damage instances and reflects a percentage of that damage to the attacker. Its base activation cost is two Activation Charges and 10% Health at every rank.
Charge-cost reductions can change the amount shown for your character. Tactical Mastery reduces the charge cost by one, to a minimum of one; it does not remove the Health cost. Check the ability panel when planning your loadout.
Rank 1 blocks two instances and reflects 100% of damage. Later ranks raise the reflection to 120%, 160% and 200%, while the number of blocked instances reaches four at rank 4. Every rank lasts 90 seconds; the table shows which values replace the earlier rank.
All four ranks require Life Lock Manual and together cost seven skill points and five time segments. Mevasser’s offer is tied to progress with Silas’s book in Who Pulls the Strings, so check that story connection before budgeting for a purchase. The manual and the story reward are separate from the ability’s activation cost.
