Anca’s preparation for the Font of Life trials
Continue Anca’s quest chain through Where Old Devils Lie. At the start of Stronger Than Achilles, she covers Coen’s body in runes before you enter the deeper ruins leading to the Font of Life. The runes belong to this quest sequence.
Runic Enchantment has 0 armour. Its listed effects are +4% magic damage reduction, +6% damage against supernatural enemies, +6% magic damage and +5% life steal. The life-steal effect restores health from damage you deal, while the magic bonuses support Witchcraft in the daytime.
The zero armour value is the main contrast with Ancient Hero’s Armour, a 91-armour Heavy chest that also supports magic and damage against supernatural enemies. Runic Enchantment’s distinct benefit is life steal; a conventional chest supplies armour protection instead.
Follow the trial route to progress through the guardians and reach the Font of Life decision. Ancient Greaves are tied to destroying the Font at the end; that leg-armour reward is separate from the runes applied before entering.
