Watch where the tatzelwurm resurfaces
Tatzelwurms retreat underground between attacks and emerge in a new position. Keep room to move and watch for the next emergence before committing to another attack. Their glossary lists poison among their attack effects.

Avoid the Pale Ravager’s spit and ground slam
In the Pale Ravager fight, its position after burrowing helps you read the next attack: it can surface close enough to strike or farther away to spit. Dodge sideways to clear the ranged spit. When it slams the ground around its body, retreat beyond the close-range impact instead of trying to block it.
The slower bite attacks can be Perfect Blocked to create an opening. Use those openings for damage, then leave yourself space to respond when it burrows again. The spit and ground slam are unblockable attacks.
Choose the lair for the item you need
For Tatzelwurm Gland, follow the optional Pale Ravager hunt in The Bittersweet Toast. The gland guide covers the trail from Vera’s ritual notes, looting the body and the decision about Iulian’s brew.
For Large Lizard’s Moult, go to the cave east of Muddy Trail shrine and use the named component marker. This moult is the material requested for Arbiter armour in A Bulwark Against Darkness; the gland has its own quest and alchemy uses.
