Prayer Book from Maragir

The Prayer Book from Maragir is the clue that continues Buried Past after you uncover Pieter’s stash. Inspect the book among his belongings, then take the investigation to the monks at Maragir monastery.

My journey
Copied by monks from Maragir.

Following Pieter’s prayer book to the monastery

Where the quest’s prayer book is found

Follow Volk’s treasure lead and the childhood memories around Parlita to Pieter’s old campsite. Investigate the campfire and use Focus to locate the buried stash. Dig it up and inspect the objects inside, including the prayer book and Pieter’s Garb.

The book is the next clue after excavation. Inspecting it leads Coen to ask why his father kept a volume copied by the monks of Maragir, opening the monastery stage of the investigation.

Who to show the prayer book to

Go to Maragir monastery and speak with the monk raking outside. Ask whether he recognises the book and question him about Pieter. Follow him to the scriptorium and finish the conversation about your father’s treasure.

You learn that Pieter gave his treasure to the monks of Maragir. Return to Volk and tell him what you discovered to continue Buried Past.

Where to resume the investigation

Use the current journal objective to choose your next stop. Excavating the stash and resolving the prayer book are separate stages of the same treasure investigation.
