About quest items in Dawnwalker
Quest items are the objects a quest gives you or asks you to bring somewhere: letters of introduction, relics, herbs, a bee smoker and the hearts of roadside shrines. This reference also includes four unusual quest objects: Hemp Rope, Manumit’s Shawl, Piece of Coal and Piece of Stained Glass. Most of the 85 entries have no listed buy or sell value or weight.
Use Piece of Coal for Albertus’s five wall inscriptions in A Monk and a Saint. Razkovniche Seeds start the growing sequence in The Hedgehog Herb, while the harvested plant becomes an elixir ingredient. Shrine hearts return to the shrine named on the item.
Items that also belong to another category, such as the accessories and ingredients that double as quest objects, are listed here as well and link to the same page. When a quest item is sitting in your inventory with no obvious use, open the character it names first, then check the quest list for that region.
For a Compel Soul investigation, match the object to the corpse you are questioning. The Ritual Dagger opens the Ancient Footwear chest through the soul at Bloodied Dagger, while the Wedding Ring belongs to Mert’s conversation at Stoneward Post.
