Get the first lantern from the soldiers
After enough Court activity angers Xanthe, two soldiers approach with a request to investigate her mansion. Accept their request to receive Xanthe’s Lantern and begin The Cycle of Love.
At Howling Keep, put the lantern in the statue on the left of the entrance. Inside, the same mechanism controls the blocked doors: a lantern in a nearby statue removes the red vines.
Move the lanterns through the mansion
Go up the southern stairs and through the open rooms to the northwest. Collect the lantern in the girl’s room. Put a lantern on the main balcony statue so that you can retrieve the one inside the adjoining room and still leave.
Use a lantern to open the western ground-floor route. In the room at the back, pick up another lantern and descend through the trapdoor. Fight through the underground rooms to the kennels and collect the Key to the Kennels to return to the main area.
Retrieve lanterns from doors you no longer need held open. Return through the first upper room, placing one lantern there and retrieving the balcony lantern. Put lanterns into the two statues beside the final stairway to reach the locked room.
