How to learn Precision

The following manual supplies the book unlock for ranks marked “Manual unlock” in the rank table. Skill points and time are spent when you purchase the rank. See the skill book guide for manual requirements and planning examples.

Change direction between swings to earn the bonus

Precision only pays when your Directional Attacks do not repeat a direction, so a string of identical swings gets nothing from it. Rank 1 adds 10% damage, rank 2 cuts Stamina cost by 30% and rank 3 raises the damage bonus to 20%. Every rank needs Precision Manual, and the three ranks cost four skill points and three time segments.

The Stamina cut is worth more on heavier weapons, because weapon type scales attack cost: short swords use 0.75 times the base, long swords 1.00 and great swords 1.25. Growing Momentum, the next perk, rewards the same habit of continuous weapon attacks and resets its bonus when you take damage.

Precision is third on the damage branch: Stinging Blade, Fate’s Favour, Precision. From scratch, the first rank of each costs three skill points and two time segments, and only Precision needs a book at that point. Ursul’s teaching offers include the manual, and Drogos and Ocha list it among possible stock.
