How to learn Stinging Blade

The following manual supplies the book unlock for ranks marked “Manual unlock” in the rank table. Skill points and time are spent when you purchase the rank. See the skill book guide for manual requirements and planning examples.

Ranks 1–2 are available before you need the manual

Stinging Blade raises Weapon Damage by 5%, 10%, 15% and 20% across its four ranks. The first two ranks do not require a manual; ranks 3 and 4 require Stinging Blade Manual, so you can take the early bonuses before finding the book.

All four ranks cost four skill points and two time segments in total. Ranks 1 and 2 spend no time segments; the two manual-gated upgrades cost one segment each. The next perk in this branch is Fate’s Favour, which improves critical chance and later critical damage instead of adding more flat Weapon Damage.

If you are choosing between damage types, compare this perk’s Weapon Damage with a specific weapon’s base values and bonuses. It is a percentage bonus to the weapon category, not a replacement for upgrading or selecting a weapon.
