Phial of Brencis's Blood

Find the reliquary and reach the cave’s rear ledge

At the western edge of Altenmarkt in Svartrau City, search the blood reliquary in Xanthe’s recruitment tent during Taste of Power. This is Brencis’s phial; the recruiters’ other camps hold Ambrus’s and Bakir’s blood.

For the second phial, travel to Mt. Balaur west of Parlita in Boar’s Back. Enter Brencis’s former cave at night and Shadowstep onto the ledge at the rear, beneath the dripping blood. The phial is in that upper section, which also contains the Gladius.

Our Rotten Roots with Lacra provides another Piercing Shriek rank through the Isbrand encounter. Include that story reward when deciding when to drink your carried phials. It is an encounter reward, so you cannot keep it in your inventory for later like a phial.

If you have rank 1 and two blood rewards still available, buy rank 2 first and let those rewards advance ranks 3 and 4. Buying the rank still needs its Corruption requirement. The phial can be consumed in either form and significantly increases Corruption; Piercing Shriek is an activated Vampirism ability.
