This plum spirit packs quite a punch.
Bring a bottle on a later visit to Volk
The quest journal points to Svartrau’s taverns for Slivovitz. Buy a bottle and keep it in your inventory if you want to offer it to Volk when you return to his hut.
On the visit after meeting Volk, he is resting in bed with an injured back. You can give him Slivovitz if you have it. Continue speaking to him to hear about the Feverfew remedy and the next story about Pieter; the alcohol is not required to move past this visit.
For the remedy, collect Feverfew by the river west of Volk’s house and use his stove. That is a separate interaction from handing over Slivovitz, so buying alcohol does not replace the herb task.
If Coen drinks Slivovitz instead, it improves stamina regeneration and adds a drunk visual effect in human form. Both have a base duration of 30 seconds. Save the bottle for the conversation if that is why you bought it; Weak Spirits and Strong Spirits are different crafting ingredients.

Strength tiers compare this item with other consumables that change the same attribute. The final amount is calculated from your character’s stats and skills when you use it, so the game does not list a fixed number.
Durations in seconds are base values from the item’s effect. Skills and other modifiers that change consumable duration apply on top of them.
Slivovitz can only be consumed in human form during the day. The crafting menu labels these as Day Only.
