A strange key made out of stone.
Get the chest key from the treasury cellar
First obtain the Treasury Key from the book in the cathedral’s ground-floor side room. Use it on the square treasury building on the north side of the cathedral courtyard. Inside the treasury, inspect the bookcase in the first room and move it to reveal the way downstairs.
Search the cellar for the Stone Key near the candles on the stone ledge. The Treasury Key opens the building; the Stone Key is the separate pickup needed for the sword chest.
Return to the ruins beneath the house near Svartrau’s West Gate. From the first chamber, squeeze through the crack ahead, follow the left corridor and enter the low opening in the next room. Drop through the hole into the lower caves and continue to the kobolds. Defeat them and unlock the stone chest for The Hand of Fate.
The Ancient Key provides access to these ruins from Florin’s chamber. After collecting the sword, the crack beside its chest leads toward the Old Key and the rest of A Hero’s End. The full underground route below connects the entrances, keys and armour reward.
