How to get Common Sword
Find Common Sword at the abandoned logging site northwest of Laslea Glen during If a Tree Falls in a Forest. It is an early replacement to compare with the Training Sword from Coen’s home.
Follow the logging-camp footprints
Go to the logging camp beside Northern Foothills Shrine and deal with the wolves. Use Focus to follow the footprints north, uphill out of the camp.
Search beside the next dead man on the trail for Common Sword before continuing toward the cliff. The uriash corpse below the cliff carries the Witch’s Pendant; the sword is a separate pickup earlier on the route.
An early sword without extra effects
Common Sword has 27–38 base damage and weighs 1.5. It has no additional equipment-effect bonus, so compare its displayed damage with your current sword when you pick it up. Its main advantage is the accessible early location, without needing to open a merchant’s shop.
