About Restored Sword of St. Mihai

A legendary weapon made for great deeds. Once broken, now as good as new.

Find the three sword shards and reforge St. Mihai’s sword

First complete A Monk and a Saint and defeat Mihai beneath Svartrau Cathedral for the Broken Sword. Forge It Anew then takes you to three separate shard locations and to Nareh, the Uriashi blacksmith.

Where to find each shard

  • Ambrus’s domain: search the cave in northern Maragir Wealds. The shard is at a defaced shrine inside. Open the Do Not Disturb cave location.
  • Bakir’s domain: enter the Kobold burrow in the mountains between Boar’s Back and Rockfalls. Crouch through the entrance and defeat the large, poison-spitting Kobold to recover the shard. Open the Hostile Takeover cave location.
  • Xanthe’s domain: the cave between St. Tyna’s Grove and Tantari Woods has already been looted. Continue to the soldiers’ camp in the bog north of Tantari Woods and check the small box inside a tent for the missing shard. Open the soldiers’ camp location.

Return to Nareh, then temper the sword

Find Nareh near the tree line in northwestern Briar Sloughs, by Uriashi Hermitage. Explain that you want to kill Brencis if she refuses to help. You can begin reforging once you have the broken sword and one shard, then return with the remaining pieces; collecting all three before your first visit is not required.

After reforging, follow her instructions to the ancient ruins northwest of the hermitage. Cut the blood webs with the silver sword and complete the encounter inside to obtain the Imbued Sword. Reforging and this final tempering are separate steps.

The Imbued Sword map marker marks the final sword location; it does not mark all three shards. Compare the versions below before choosing which one to equip.

These are base item comparisons. Item level, upgrades and character effects can change the values shown in game. Use the shard route above for restoration; this table compares the resulting equipment.
