The Caretaker’s Key opens the caretaker’s shed at Svartrau Cathedral. Loot it from the murohn behind the bookshelf in a second-floor Asylum closet, then search the shed for Shards of Stained Glass.

Open the cathedral shed and follow the stained-glass clue

Find the murohn behind the Asylum bookshelf

Go to the second floor of the Asylum and investigate the bookshelf in the closet. The sealed-off area behind it contains the murohn carrying the Caretaker’s Key.

If you are looking for the investigation lead, speak with the Deacon in the main cathedral and the Asylum patient. The caretaker’s fate also connects to A Dubious Gift.

Take the shards to the cathedral craftsman

Use the key to enter the caretaker’s shed in the cathedral complex and collect Shards of Stained Glass. During the day, bring them to the craftsman beside the boarded-up window in the main cathedral.

This is one of the cathedral investigations that help locate St. Mihai’s crypt during A Monk and a Saint. The library and treasury contain other clues; the Caretaker’s Key specifically opens the shed.
